A Stylist Insight Into Christmas Day Outfits
With Christmas quickly creeping up, the question on every fashion girl’s lips is what to wear on the most festive day of the year! And with style rules being so last Christmas… the style possibilities are endless. So with this in mind we thought you might be curious to know what stylists wear on Christmas Day to spark a little inspiration and help you find your perfect look for the 25th.
Let’s hear from Olivia…
“This year I have two events to attend on Christmas Day… a lunch with my in-laws to dinner with my side of the family which means my look needs to be versatile, effortlessly transitioning from day-to-night.
Luckily, I have found the perfect style solution… a black satin slip dress covered in vivid pink polka dots! Two of my best hues in a less complex pattern always suits my cooler skin tone and my more contemporary personality. My dresses silhouette gently glides over my hips, with a v-neckline and front spilt drawing the eye down and elongating.
During the day I will be styling my dress with the oh-so-now go-to white sneakers and enhancing my lobes with a pair of lustrous round pearl stud earrings, reinforcing and complementing the polka dot print. To impress the in-laws and add a good girl image to my style I will wrap my neck in pearls…a layer that will bring an elegant air to my look and will definitely be sure to please!
Once night falls, it will be time to elevate. A simple swap from sneakers to strappy black heels and from the classic pearls to chic long black onyx drop earrings. Taking my look to sleek and sophisticated in seconds… always bringing my go-to leather jacket to drape over my shoulders as Christmas Day weather is notorious for being unpredictable!”

“ Christmas is a day that anyone, even those who are only a little bit interested in fashion can rest assured that there is absolutely no rules when styling for the day! Just as always make sure, its event appropriate.
Most of my Christmas Day will be spend cooking and entertaining my family, from breakfast to dinner. So comfort is key without compromising style of course…haha…a stylish apron won’t go astray.
I have chosen a bright and merry Tigerlily co-cord. An amazing playful paisley print unexpected in its colour way, muted hues enhanced by flashes of bright yellow that is undeniably captivating sitting perfectly against my warmer skin tone. Creating a gentle silhouette of mostly flow with a little bit of structure around the waist to elevate the look. The pants sit high on the waist with a wide leg which works to elongate (something I always try to achieve) featuring side splits to the knee for a breezy creative movement that can’t help but flatter… The matching cami has a slight v-neck with a mini gathered frill detail at the neckline which I will gently tuck in the front to feature my waist. I will begin the day cooking in the comfort of my go-to sneakers, sliding into a bright yellow thong sandal in the afternoon to keep the look bright.
My jewellery selection for the day is an extra-long fine chain with a bird cage style pendant in yellow gold which will complement without dominating the look… elongating my silhouette again! With the addition to complete, a sprinkling of sparkle to my ears with huggie style earrings dusted with diamonds.…….”
